Proud! Lo Lo Chai, Tuyen Quang is "the best tourist village in the world 2025".
Lo Lo Chai – The northernmost place has become a “bright pearl” of Vietnamese tourism
In the middle of the majestic rocky plateau of Ha Giang, there is a small village nestled at the foot of Lung Cu flagpole - the beginning of the sacred territory of the Fatherland. That is Lo Lo Chai, the village of the gentle and rustic Lo Lo people, which has now become the "Best tourist village in the world in 2025" honored by the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).
Once a remote village where people lived on corn and rice fields on the rocky mountains, Lo Lo Chai today takes on a new lease of life thanks to community tourism. In the hundreds of years old rammed earth houses, people welcome visitors with warm smiles, fragrant cups of tea and simple but sincere stories of life.
Passing through the village gate, visitors seem to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city. The winding path between moss-covered stone fences, flower gardens in front of houses and the laughter of children make anyone feel calm.
Each season in Lo Lo Chai is a vivid picture:
Spring, plum blossoms, peach blossoms are brilliant colors on the yin-yang tiled roof.
Summer, clear blue sky, cool wind blows through every house.
Autumn, mist lingers over the peaceful village.
Winter, the red fire warms the long stories of the mountain night.
Since the movie “Going to the Windy Place” spread, the image of Lo Lo Chai has become closer to domestic and foreign tourists. But perhaps, what makes this place most special is the people – the Lo Lo people.
