Discover Hang En - a masterpiece of nature hundreds of millions of years old in the heart of Quang Tri
Nestled in the majestic mountains and forests, Hang En is considered a “living museum” of geological movements hundreds of millions of years ago. With a length of more than 1,645m, the cave possesses a majestic and overwhelming space – some places are over 170m wide and up to 120m high, creating an unusually small feeling when standing in the middle of the ground.
What makes Hang En different from many other caves in Vietnam is its unique three-door structure: one door is located halfway up the mountain, the other two doors are at the foot of the mountain, where Rao Thuong stream flows through. The main door faces southeast, while the exit faces northwest, creating a natural flow through the cave – a rare phenomenon in the cave world.
Coming to Hang En, visitors not only admire the majestic beauty of nature but also feel the pristine breath of the mountains and forests of Quang Tri. Each step in the cave is a journey of discovery - both mysterious and showing us the greatness of time and mother earth.
