Quang Tri has added 03 seaports that are applying electronic visas (e-visa)

The government has just allowed the addition of international border gates that permit foreigners to carry out entry and exit procedures using electronic visas, in which Quang Tri province has 03 seaport border gates.
On December 2, 2025, the government issued Resolution No. 389/NQ-CP regarding the addition of the following border gates to the list of international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit using electronic visas, with 41 international border gates including 04 air border gates, 11 land border gates, and 26 seaport border gates.
Among them, Quang Tri has 03 seaport border gates: Gianh Port, Hon La Port, and Cua Viet Port. Previously, according to Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023, the government approved 04 border gates for e-visa application in Quang Tri, which are Dong Hoi Airport, Lao Bao International Border Gate, La Lay International Border Gate, and Cha Lo International Border Gate. This raises the total number of border gates approved for e-visa in the province to 07, covering all land, air, and sea routes.
This is a favorable condition for the province in promoting and expanding the international tourist market, especially to boost the development of coastal tourism aimed at the high-end tourist market with high spending capacity in the near future.
With nearly 200 km of coastline, rich tourism resources, and many unique tourism products in ecological tourism, nature tourism, cultural-historical tourism, agricultural tourism, and high-end sports tourism, Quang Tri is a destination.
